Banglalink and TeleTalk signed MoU

Banglalink and TeleTalk have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to explore the possibility of joint use of their own telecom infrastructure. Banglalink's Chief Executive Officer Eric Oss and TeleTalk's Managing Director Md. Sahab Uddin signed the agreement in presence of Posts and Telecommunications Minister Mostafa Jabbar at Posts and Telecommunications Division. Secretary of the Department of Posts and Telecommunications Md. Khalilur Rahman, Banglalink's Chief Corporate and Regulatory Affairs Officer Taimur Rahman, Banglalink's Head of Government and LEA Relations Waheed Ul Haq Khandaker and other top officials of the two organizations were also present on the occasion. Under the agreement, the operators will analyze and evaluate the opportunities and technical feasibility of sharing their respective telecom infrastructure and facilities in compliance with the two infrastructure sharing policies, tower sharing policies and all other relevant laws and policies. Hon'ble Minister for Posts and Telecommunications Mostafa Jabbar said, “Telecom operators need to come up with a concerted effort to further improve the quality of service for their customers. Such initiatives could revolutionize the telecom sector in the future. I hope it will be a special example of the contribution of the telecom sector in building a digital Bangladesh.” Banglalink CEO Eric Oss said, “Banglalink will always strive to work with other telecom stakeholders to further strengthen the telecom infrastructure. This will ensure better services and affordable prices. I would like to thank TeleTalk for moving forward with this goal, and I hope that this joint venture will bring benefits in many areas. " TeleTalk's managing director Md. Sahab Uddin said, “We are happy to sign this MoU with Banglalink. This jointly creates an opportunity for maximum utilization of infrastructure. We want to move forward with the goal of benefiting our customers through this initiative.”
